How to Crochet Lace Fan Stitch – Annie Design Crochet

I have a free crochet pattern for you for a Lace Fan crochet stitch tutorial. This crochet stitch is a more open version of the Shell stitch, and is perfect for blankets. I have made many baby blankets using this stitch, and it gives a lovely drape. It is beautiful made in a single colour, or in two colours, but my favourite way is to use lots of colours! Read on for the instructions for this easy pattern.

Don’t forget to pin it for later!

You can check out my other stitch tutorials here  http://www.anniedesigncrochet.com/tag/crochet-stitch-tutorial/

Materials

I used a DK weight yarn and a 4mm crochet hook for the sample, but you can use any weight yarn and matching hook.

Notes

  • Pattern uses a multiple of 8 sts + 4 sts
  • Tip for changing colours – work last st until there are 2 loops on hook, yarn over with new colour and draw through all loops to complete stitch
